Groke from the Moomins, known as "Mörkö" in Finnish. Why? Because I felt like it.

Ah Moomins... I grew up with them, like every single Finnish kid and I swear every single Finnish kid was scared of Groke (if anyone says he/she wasn't he/she is lying). I mean... I'm STILL little scared of her! I remember how I always ran behind the couch when Sniff sees Groke for the first time. Good times... Good times...

This was made pretty quickly... Groke is pretty simple... How something so simple is so freaking scary?!

Edelleenkin se pelottaa... Katoin 17 vuotiaana uudelleen muumeja ja en ollut ikinä nähnyt kun Mörkö ekan kerran esiintyi... sit näin sen ja jestas mä puristin pehmolelua tiukasti..

After I saw this I looked it up and watched it on YouTube.
Really, it WAS scary. I'm surprised they showed that to little kids... Eugh... It was just... Creepy.

Imagine seeing that when you were 3. I STILL have nightmare about her every now and then.

Which is funny because Groke is actually a cool character and she is not bad, just lonely. To be honest, she is scary only in the first episode where we see her.

Haha, I feel bad for all the kids who saw it when they were little and have terrible memories!
They could've made her a bit less... Scary looking, I guess.

Ohgod...
She used to scare the be-JEBUS out of me as a kid. And, yeah, still does a little. I think it's the combination of the fixed expression, dark shape and the music, ohgodsthatmusic, that they always put on.

Agreed, all those elements together... *hurr* But the funny thing is that I only found her scary in the first episode... In later episodes, she wasn't so dark... And didn't look so lifeless. But the damage is done...

Funny thing, I wasn't that scared of that. I swear it was the animation. (you know how in old animations everything that moves is colored lighter and BG stuff is darker). They made her lighter dark and I think she was quite cute in the end of the episode. Hehe, I actually like Groke. She is really interesting character but she scares the heck out of me.
